The reliable order: firmware, the right USB port, controller authentication, then a clean button-input test.
Update safely
Use the official firmware/update instructions and the correct computer connection before changing anything on the Zen.
Connect the controller
For many matching USB setups, the controller connects through A1; the console uses the CONSOLE/PC port. PS5 setups may need additional hardware or a supported method.
Verify inputs
With Zen Studio and the official device monitor, confirm controller inputs are detected before installing any scripts.
Install the script
Once the basic controller works without scripts, continue with the Zare Scripts installation guide.
Record the result
Save your platform, controller, firmware and any device messages in the Zen Setup Sheet.
